Card Fronts for July

I'm still having fun in the card fronts group over on cricut.com. This month we had to make card fronts with a Christmas theme and not using traditional Christmas colors.

I'm entering Mary's contest again. This is my last chance to win. Wish me luck!!! The theme this week was to make a card using a Christmas tree. That's it, pretty easy. :)

I'm still alive

I came out of hiding to enter Mary's contest at http://www.cardztv.blogspot.com/. The challenge this round was to use ribbon, buttons, lace. You could use all three or just one. My button is the bone you see at the bottom next to the doggie. He's dreaming about a bone and someone has left him one in real life while he sleeps. That is suppose to be a ribbon on the bone but I don't know if it looks like one. I just finished this card. The glue hasn't even dried on that button, hence the white behind it. :)

Wedding Cards Project

I created a project for myself making a book of all the cards we received for our wedding. I used my Zutter BIA to make this book. Hobby Lobby only had 3/4'' wires so I had to buy the largest ones available, 1 1/4'' online. 1 1/4'' was still not large enough but it's the largest size so I had to make due. You can see from the 3rd picture that the book doesn't really close. But that's okay. All the cards are in there and they aren't going to fall out. And, I think it's a pretty cute book cover, so I'm happy.

Scrapbook weekend

My favorite sister-in-law and I went on a scrapbook weekend. We had so much fun and got loads of work done. It was just the two of us so we did whatever we wanted all weekend.

The theme for September was MALE. You could use any sentiment. My cards turned out to be more for a boy but that's okay. Still male right?

A whole bunch of stuff

I have been creating....but haven't been updating my blog.

First....I saw this on someone else's blog. No idea whos but I thought it was too cute.

It reads "Lonely Single Seeks Mate (Must be a good match)" Funny right? It's hanging up in my laundry room.

Next, I had a scrapbooking weekend last week with a group of ladies that get together once a month and created some more pages for Emily's scrapbook.

My very first post!!

So August 5th was my niece's 2nd bday. She is having a Mickey Mouse themed BDay party. Unfortunately we aren't going to get to go because it's on a Sunday and my husband can't take the day off of work. (we just came back from our honeymoon and taking 9 days vacation) So I'm going to mail this and her birthday present for her party. We'll miss seeing her but will see her and all the rest of the family in September for Labor Day!!!
